GBYSO Fall Concert

Join the Greater Buffalo Youth String Orchestra (GBYSO) for its Fall Concert and experience an afternoon of music performed by some of Western New York’s talented young string musicians.

This concert marks the first performance of the 2026–2027 season and showcases the dedication, growth, and musicianship of our GBYSO students. Under the direction of Lynne Bona, the orchestra will present a program that highlights the depth and versatility of the string orchestra repertoire.

The Fall Concert is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, educators, and community members to celebrate these young musicians and the work they have accomplished during the opening months of the season.

Join us as the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra kicks off its 2026–2027 season with an unforgettable evening of music on Sunday, November 15th. Our talented young musicians will take the stage to showcase the passion, dedication, and artistry they’ve been cultivating this fall.

This concert will feature a dynamic program highlighting the depth and energy of our orchestra, from beloved classics to exciting new works. It’s a celebration of the next generation of musicians and the vibrant music community here in Buffalo.

Prima Strings Winter Concert

Join us for the Prima Strings Winter Concert and celebrate the talented young musicians of the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra’s introductory string ensemble!

Under the direction of Emily Greetham, Prima Strings provides developing musicians with the opportunity to strengthen their skills, build confidence, and experience the excitement of making music together as an ensemble.

The Winter Concert is Prima Strings’ first performance of the 2026–2027 season and will showcase the hard work and musical growth our students have achieved during the opening months of the year. Under the direction of Music Director and Conductor Louis Vitello, GBYO will take on one of the most celebrated works in the orchestral repertoire—Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9 in D minor, “Choral.” They will be performing with the Westminster Presbyterian Church Chorus.

The program will also feature a concerto performance to be announced.
